Handayani Was Summoned Again As Witness To Alleged Chromebook Corruption

JAKARTA - Former special staff of Nadiem Makarim, behind Handayani, will undergo examination as a witness in the detention of a suspected corruption case in the procurement of Chrome OS or Chromebook-based laptops at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) at the Attorney General's Office (AGO), today, Tuesday 5 August.

The Head of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, said that from the results of coordination with investigators, the examination ofLAY Handayani was scheduled for this match at around 09.00 WIB.

"Today is scheduled for 9 am," said Anang to VOI, Tuesday, August 5.

Regarding the confirmation of Handayani's presence on the summons for examination, Anang could not confirm yet. This is because no information has been received from investigators.

"So far there is no information regarding this matter," said Anang.

It is known, why Handayani has been questioned by the AGO several times in handling the alleged Chromebook corruption case. However, it is not yet known what investigators dug up from the statement of the former staff member from Nadiem Makarim.

In handling this alleged corruption case, the AGO named four suspects. They are JT (Jurist Tan) as the Special Staff (Stafsus) of the Minister of Education and Culture for the period 2020-2024 and IBAM (Ibrahim Arief) as a former technology consultant at the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Furthermore, SW (Sri Wahyuningsih) as Director of School Directors of Elementary Schools (SD) of the Directorate of Basic Education and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020 2020 2021 as well as the power of budget users within the Directorate of Elementary Schools in the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

Finally, MUL (Mulyatsyah) as Director of Junior High School (SMP) of the Directorate of Basic Education and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020 2021 as well as the power of budget users within the Directorate of Junior High School for the first fiscal year 20202021.

The four suspects are suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph 1 and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2021 concerning Corruption Crimes, in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
