Depok' Gita Bahana Nusantara (GBN) 2025 has officially opened. Minister of Culture Fadli Zon emphasized that this training is not just an artistic event, but also a space for the formation of national and cross-cultural characters.
"This is not just music training. This is a space for brotherhood, a place for the spirit of diversity to grow," said Fadli when opening GBN's face-to-face training at Wisma Kinasih Resort, Depok, Sunday, August 3.
GBN is a joint team of national choirs and orchestras consisting of 222 youths aged 1623 years from 38 provinces. They were selected through tiered auditions at the district to provincial levels, with strict selection by music professionals.
A total of 152 participants came from the choir of four people per province with the types of sopran sound, overturning, tenor, and bass. While the other 70 are talented young musicians who auditioned for the orchestra which was held in March 'May 2025 in Yogyakarta, Jakarta, and Makassar.
After online training at the end of last July, the participants have now entered the stage of intensive face-to-face learning for 12 days, from August 8 to 19. They are not only trained on musical techniques, but also national values such as mutual cooperation, integrity, and love for the homeland.
