Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono: My Brothers In Gaza, You Are Not Alone And Will Always Fight For Indonesia

JAKARTA - Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono emphasized that the people of the Gaza Strip in particular and Palestine will generally not be alone because there are Indonesias that always provide support and fight for them.

This was conveyed by the Indonesian Foreign Minister in his speech at the "Gift Action to Defend Palestine" in the National Monument Area on Sunday.

The Indonesian Foreign Minister said the action was a call not only because he was a fellow Muslim, but a humanitarian call.

"We are here to voice our conscience that we see the situation that befell our brothers and sisters in Gaza, cannot accept the atrocities and atrocities that befell our brothers in Gaza and Palestine," exclaimed the Indonesian Foreign Minister, Sunday, August 3.

"We pursue humanity, many children, many women, innocent people who are victims of these atrocities and atrocities," he said.

The Foreign Minister said that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, since the inauguration of Palestine as part of his government's agenda, emphasized that Palestinian independence was part of the struggle of the Indonesian nation.

He said this was not a mere expression because it was a mandate from the 1945 Constitution, that Indonesia did not want colonialism above the world.

"The Indonesian government consistently opposes genocide, the Indonesian government opposes hunger that is used as a weapon, the Indonesian government opposes moving Palestinians from their homeland," said the Indonesian Foreign Minister.

"The Indonesian government will continue to fight for the independence of the Palestinian State," he said.

The Indonesian Foreign Minister said that although Indonesia has so far sent aid to Gaza as a form of concrete action, the struggle has not been completed and there is still much to be done.

"Through the door of diplomacy, through the negotiating table, updated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia to convey and voice how we feel about our brothers in Palestine and Gaza," explained the Indonesian Foreign Minister.

"He spoke at the ASEAN forum, the OKI forum and other multilateral forums, voicing the independence of Palestine," he said.

The Foreign Minister added that Indonesia will send food aid, 10 thousand tons of rice to Gaza in the near future.

"My brothers in Gaza and Palestine, you are not alone, you will always be remembered, will always be fought for, will always be cared for by all Indonesian people," exclaimed the Indonesian Foreign Minister.
