Be Careful Flying The One Piece Flag, The Police Will Take Firm Action

TANGERANG REGENCY - Be careful for residents in the Banten area who deliberately raised the One Piece pirate flag at the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence. The Banten Regional Police (Polda) said they would take firm action.

"If anyone is proven to have committed a violation and he is not Red and White, of course we will take firm action," said Banten Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Hengki in Tangerang, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 2.

According to him, the flag-raising movement, which is symbolized as a pirate, is a form of provocation that can lower the degree of the Red and White flag.

In addition, the movement can also injure the struggle of predecessors who are willing to sacrifice for the sake of Indonesian independence.

"We must be grateful for the struggle of our predecessors who fought with their body and soul to defend Indonesia for independence," he said.

He also hopes that the community, especially in the Banten area, will always show a sense of nationalism by flying the Red and White flag.

"So the hope is that all the Red and White flags will be raised," he said.

He also emphasized that the situation of public order and security in the Banten area is confirmed to be conducive.

"There is no Banten. All of Banten is Merah Putih," he said.

It is known that it was recently enlivened by reports from various regions flying the One Piece flag ahead of the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The manga series that tells the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy to become king of pirates has been published since July 22, 1997 until now.

A year later, the manga was then adapted into an animated video series and aired until now. One Piece's story is not only about the search for treasure, but also about dreams and freedoms.
