Bilateral Meeting Urgent, Prabowo Cancels Attendance At IPDN Pamong Inauguration

SUMEDANG - President Prabowo Subianto canceled his leadership of the inauguration ceremony 1,110 Pamong Praja Muda/Purna Praja IPDN XXXII at the IPDN Jatinangor Campus, Sumedang Regency, West Java, Monday 28 July.

President Prabowo was originally scheduled to directly lead the inauguration ceremony of 1,110 Young IPDN Civil Service into the state civil apparatus, and gave them direct directions on Monday morning.

"We just received the information on the cancellation. The president is scheduled to hold an important meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim this afternoon in Jakarta. Of course it requires preparation for the meeting," said Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto to reporters when contacted from the Jatinangor IPDN Campus, quoted by ANTARA.

Not only that, Bima Arya explained that President Prabowo had an urgent agenda at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, related to government coordination.

At the Jatinangor IPDN Campus, the inauguration of 1,110 Young Civil Service IPDN Forces XXXII as the state civil apparatus (ASN) is scheduled to take place at 10.00 WIB. Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, who has arrived in Sumedang, Sunday (27/7), is scheduled to replace President Prabowo as ceremony inspector.

The inauguration ceremony of 1,110 IPDN Pamong Praja was filled, including a series of art performances displayed by IPDN preja. Then, there was also the embedding of the Civil Service badge and the embedding of Kartika Asta Branta to the best graduates.

Then, the ceremony inspector also gave his mandate to the retired IPDN who were inaugurated as ASN. The series of ceremonies were then closed with photos together, and celebrations then met with family.

In Jakarta, Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to arrive on Monday afternoon. PM Anwar visited Indonesia on July 28 to attend the 13th Annual Consultation for Indonesia and Malaysia in Jakarta.

The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra) in its official broadcast explained that in the 13th Annual Consultation event, President Prabowo and PM Anwar will witness the signing of four memorandums of understanding for cooperation (MoU) between two countries in the land, health, technology and communication border areas.

During his visit to Jakarta today, PM Anwar was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamad Hasan, Minister of Home Affairs Saifuddin Nasution, Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry Tengku Zafrul Aziz, and Minister of Education Fadhlina Sidek. Then, there is also the Head of Sarawak Abang State Johari Openg and high-ranking state Sabah Hajiji Noor.
