The Cianjur Resort Police (Polres) has named 16 suspects in the deadly duel case which caused one student on behalf of Ziad, a MTS student in Leles District, to die after falling from the bridge during a duel.
Kasatreskrim Cianjur Police AKP Tono Listianto said, after asking for information from students involved in the duel of two against two, his party named dozens of students involved as suspects.
"We have named 16 students as suspects in the deadly duel that killed Ziad in Sindangsari Village, Leles District, before they were summoned as witnesses, after examining strong evidence that they were involved," he said in Cianjur Thursday, July 24, confiscated by Antara.
The dozens of suspects who are still in grade 8 and 9 consist of two junior high schools and MTS in Leles District, with the initials AZ, MD, AN, RS, RA, BG, MN, SS, RH, RF, A, RP, MH, PN, MF, and N who have different roles.

"The suspects were charged with Article 80 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Law number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia number 23 of 2002 concerning child protection with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years," he said.
