JAKARTA - Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni visited the Red and White building of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, July 24. He admitted that he received an invitation from KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto to discuss the mining sector.

"The agenda is mentioned about discussions about the mining sector at the KPK," Raja Juli told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 24.

In this meeting, continued Raja Juli, later the KPK will explain the study on mining and discuss its governance. However, he could not explain further.

"Now we want to discuss in more detail the improvement of the governance of the mining sector, especially of course mining in forest areas," he said.

Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said that his party had indeed held discussions regarding mining with a number of stakeholders or stakeholders. "Especially regarding nickel governance," he said in a written statement.

Budi said that the KPK had carried out a study before producing the recommendations submitted. It is hoped that stakeholders can apply the input provided to improve mining governance.
