The Fourth Round Of Russia-Ukraine Negotiations Will Be Decided After Implementing The Latest Agreement

JAKARTA - The fourth round of Russia-Ukraine negotiations will be decided after the implementation of the latest agreement, with Moscow hoping that there will be a continuation of negotiations.

Sources familiar with this said the two countries would make decisions on the fourth round of negotiations, after implementing the agreement in the latest negotiations.

Russia-Ukraine held a third round of negotiations at the Ciragan Palace, Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday. Although there is no clarity on the ceasefire and plans for a meeting of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with Russian President Vladimir Putin, yesterday's negotiations agreed to continue the exchange of prisoners of war and the repatriation of the bodies of soldiers on both sides.

"When the new agreement is implemented, a decision on a new meeting will be made," he said, launching TASS July 24.

He said Wednesday's deal was not only military personnel, but also civilians.

In yesterday's negotiations, Russia also proposed to continue the brief humanitarian break amid fighting.

"We once again ask Ukraine to consider a very important issue, namely a brief pause in fighting along the line of contact, which will last 24 to 48 hours, so that the medical team can gather injuries and for commanders to collect the bodies of their troops," said head of the Russian delegation who is also President Vladimir Medinsky's aide.

"The current medical team faces too great a risk when evacuating wounded soldiers from the gray zone, which is dominated by drones," he added.

Moscow also hopes that the fourth round of Russia-Ukraine negotiations can be implemented.

"We hope there will be (the fourth round)," he said.
