Former Director Of BJB Asks For Prayers Because He Is Sick After Being Examined By The KPK Regarding Corruption In Procurement Of Ads

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk (BJB) or BJBR Yuddy Renaldi admitted that he was sick. He asked the public to pray for him to always be healthy.

This statement was made by Yuddy after being questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission today, July 23. He was questioned as a witness despite his status as a suspect in alleged corruption in the procurement of BJB advertisements.

"I ask for prayers to be given health because I am sick. That's all," Yuddy told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Yuddy said he had explained all his knowledge in front of investigators. The claim is that there are 20 questions in the examination that have been held since 10.15 WIB.

Yuddy ensured that he would cooperate in following the ongoing legal process.

"Regarding the subject matter, maybe just ask the investigators, I have already conveyed it," he said.

Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said Yuddy was being questioned about receiving money from an agency company that won advertising procurement.

"The person concerned was asked for his testimony regarding the incidents of receiving money from the agency companies to the BJB Corporate Secretary Division (Corsec) in 2023," said Budi.

In addition, investigators are also investigating the non-budget funds at BJB when examining Yuddy. "It is intended or given to anyone or its designation for anything. Well, it's all explored," he said.

"Including whether there is a gift to state officials, investigators are also investigating it," continued Budi.

Previously reported, the KPK has named five corruption suspects in the placement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) for the period 2021-2023.

They are former President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi; Head of Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Division Widi Hartoto; Agency Controller Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulmanan; Agency Controller BSC Advertising and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspres (WSBE) Suhendrik; and Controller of PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma.

This case investigation warrant (sprindik) was issued on February 27, 2025. The actions of the five suspects are suspected of having caused the state to lose up to Rp22 billion.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended according to the needs of the investigation.
