JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the alleged flow of funds from advertising service providers (agenties) to the Corporate Secretary Division of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk (Bank BJB).
The information was obtained by investigators from the statement of Aburizal Ahmad Sofwan as Acting (Pj) Head of the Central Bank BJB Marketing Communication Group. Aburizal was examined as a witness on Tuesday, July 22 at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan, South Jakarta.
"Witnesses are being investigated regarding special relations and the flow of funds between agency companies and Bank BJB's Corporate Secretary Division in 2023," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo in a written statement, Wednesday, July 23.
However, the KPK has not disclosed in detail the amount of money flowing or who received the benefits of the relationship. The examination of Aburizal is said to be still part of an effort to deepen the construction of the case.
Previously, the KPK had named five people as suspects in the alleged corruption case of placing advertisements in Bank BJB during the period 2021 to 2023. The five are
Yuddy Renaldi, former President Director of Bank BJB, Widi Hartoto, Head of Corporate Secretary Division of Bank BJB. Kin Asikin Dulmanan, controller of the agency PT Antedja Muliatama and PT Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri.
Suhendrik, controller of BSC Administration and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspres (WSBE) and Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma, controller of PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB).
The investigation warrant for this case was issued by the KPK on February 27, 2025. From the results of the initial investigation, the actions of the five suspects allegedly caused state losses of up to Rp22 billion.
