JAKARTA - Coordinator of Friends of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Bintang Wahyu Saputra, assessed that the political extinction of the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco, regarding the change of the logo of political parties (political) was used by opposing parties, which led to a polemic.

According to him, the joke was Dasco's intermezzo in the middle of an event attended by the First Congress of the National Creative Economy Movement (Gekrafs). However, it was misinterpreted by other parties with the intention of dropping it.

"A statement that is actually normal is not meant to insinuate or offend other parties because it is clear that what Dasco means about changing the logo is the Gekraf logo, not something else. However, for those who are politically opposed to Dasco, the usual statement is ammunition to hit or at least corner Dasco," said Bintang in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 22.

He said that several parties mentioned that Dasco's change in logo was a message as well as a satire to the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

"There are even those who say Dasco's words are nothing but a striking message to "Gank Solo" considering that Dasco is the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party as well as Prabowo Subianto's confidant. It is a ridiculous and inconsequential assessment," he said.

At least, he continued, Dasco had known Jokowi since being promoted as a candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta by the Gerindra Party. "Dasco must have known Jokowi's character and nature, and it is certain that Dasco was able to put himself in the right position when he was in contact with Jokowi, either before or after becoming the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia," he explained.

Collision With PSI With Gerindra

Trusted as a high-ranking Gerindra Party leader and Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, said Bintang, made many people want to see Dasco fall on the ground in politics. Therefore, every movement until Dasco's words are always monitored to be weighed into ammunition to attack.

"When Dasco joked about changing the logo in the Gekraf congress forum, he was immediately struck and interpreted negatively by those who were opposite. In the media they said Dasco quipped PSI. Dasco attacked "Gank Solo". Through the media they made a framing of Dasco's bad image," said Bintang.

Observing the pattern and behavior of negative accusations against Dasco regarding the statement of logo change, Bintang said, it would not be excessive if it was said that there were parties who deliberately made noise and tried hard to clash PSI with Gerindra. The clash between Jokowi and Prabowo.

"Those who are trying to clash PSI with Gerindra, clashing with Joko Widodo with Prabowo Subianto are parties who want to divide Indonesia's country. One way is by making political noise. In their view, the more noisy and the more difficult the political space, the closer they are," he said.

"Currently, those who want to divide the nation are collaborating with political opponents Dasco by riding on the issue of changing the logo spoken by Dasco. They exploit the issue in such a way that it becomes a wild ball attacking or cornering Dasco," continued Bintang.

Bintang then looked at the characteristics of Dasco, who is a politician, who has a sense of humor. He said, for those who know Sufmi Dasco closely, they must know his characteristics who like to joke on various occasions. "One of them was when Dasco attended the invitation to the first congress of Gekraf. Unfortunately, Dasco's joke by certain groups was translated into a satire against PSI and attacked Jokowi," he added.

"However, for those who see clearly, Dasco's expression is nothing more than an internal joke without intending to insinuate PSI. Dasco cannot insinuate PSI, on the contrary, in terms of mass communication, Dasco has a role in amplifying the PSI Congress with a joke about changing logos, even though it is not addressed to PSI," he said.
