In Front Of Puan, Prabowo Calls PDIP-Gerindra Brothers And Sisters

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto said that PDIP and Gerindra were actually brothers. This was conveyed by Prabowo in front of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, who also serves as Chair of the PDIP DPP.

At the inauguration ceremony of the Red and White Village Cooperative in Klaten, Central Java, Prabowo, who is also the Head of Gerindra, initially quoted the motto of the First President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno or commonly called Bung Karno that Indonesia can stand on its own feet.

"We all want Indonesia to be better, want Indonesia to be prosperous, want Indonesia to truly be independent, want Indonesia to rise up on our own feet, that's the motto of our proclaimer, the founder of our nation Bung Karno, which I say Bung Karno belongs to all Indonesian people," Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 21.

In his remarks, President Prabowo emphasized that Bung Karno, who is the grandfather of Puan Maharani, belongs to the entire Indonesian nation.

The Head of State joked that if his chest was opened, there was Marhaen in it. Marhaen or Marhaenism is an ideology that Bung Karno introduced where the term came from a farmer named Marhaen.

It is known, Marhaen is a farmer who eventually inspired the direction of Soekarno's struggle to fight for the fate of the small people, including farmers fighting against Dutch colonialism.

"I said Bung Karno belonged to all Indonesian people. Yuwun throughout Mbak Puan, Bung Karno my father too, maybe if he was cut (pointing his chest), Marhaen would come out too. This is actually PDIP and Gerindra, this is my brother," he joked.

Hearing the remarks, Puan and other PDIP elites who were present, namely Deputy Chairperson of the MPR Bambang Pacul and Chairman of Commission I of the DPR Utut Adianto, laughed.

At the institutional launch of 80,081 Red and White Village/Kelurahan Cooperatives, Prabowo also said that cooperatives have a mutual cooperation concept that changes from a weak economy to a strong economic force.

"The cooperative concept is the concept of mutual cooperation. If I call mutual cooperation, the loudest applause from PDIP friends. Gotong royong belongs to the Indonesian people," said the President.
