Secretary General of the Democratic Party Herman Khaeron said that the chairman of the Democratic Party's High Council as well as the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), is currently undergoing a period of rest after undergoing a series of busy activities in recent times.

"Pak SBY needs sufficient rest after carrying out activities in a hurry, starting from the preparation and launch of the song Save Our World, then participating in the retreat at Pacitan which was taken by road trip, to being a speaker at Lemhannas Malaysia," Herman told ANTARA from Jakarta, Sunday (21/7).

According to Herman, SBY had undergone treatment at the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto, Jakarta. However, at this time, his health condition is reported to have improved.

"Hopefully in the near future he will be able to return to his normal activities," he said.

On the sidelines of his rest period, said Herman, SBY still takes the time to paint the activities that have been his hobby. Interestingly, the resulting painting remains good even though it is done using his left hand.

"Mr. SBY also expressed his gratitude to the community and friends who have prayed for their health through the various media he reads," said Herman.

Previously, news about SBY undergoing treatment at the RSPAD had circulated in the media. However, in the latest upload of the Instagram account @aniyudhoyono, SBY's condition is said to be getting better.
