Denpasar City Government Gives Subsidies For Unqualified Students List Of State Junior High Schools

DENPASAR - Denpasar City Government, Bali provides subsidies for school fees for students who do not pass the state junior high school new student admission system (SPMB) for the period 2025/2026 in the area.

Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara emphasized that one of the missions to develop Denpasar City in the future is to realize reliable competitive human resources (HR). One of the efforts that is intensified is to ensure the education process runs well and optimally.

"Of course we in Denpasar City are very committed to realizing the development of an equitable, sustainable and pro-people education sector, one of which is by providing tuition assistance for students who are not accepted at public junior high schools," he said, Friday, July 18.

Technically, the Head of the Denpasar City Department of Education and Youth and Sports, AA Gede Wiratama, when confirmed separately, explained that the subsidy assistance for education funds was provided to support the optimization of the implementation of education in Denpasar City.

This is considering that the capacity of public junior high schools in Denpasar City is very limited and has not been able to accommodate elementary school graduates as a whole.

He explained that the Denpasar City Government through Disdikpora will provide a subsidy of Rp. 1.5 million for students who attend private junior high schools in 2025. However, with the requirements, the student must register for a state junior high school SPMB with verified file status, but does not pass the fight.

In addition, the student is also required to have a Denpasar family card (KK).

"This year, there is still (a subsidy), for students who do not pass the selection in public schools and continue to study in private junior high schools, they will be given subsidy assistance of Rp. 1.5 million and must have a KK Denpasar City," he explained.

However, regarding the number of students, his party is still not sure. After this SPMB, you will only know the number of students who are entitled to receive the subsidy.

"We can't confirm the number of students yet. Later, after the selection of all new routes, we can withdraw the data from the system, hopefully it can ease the burden on the people of Denpasar City who will take junior high school education, and be able to realize sustainable, competitive and quality education equality," he said.
