A Couple Who Persecuted A 2-year-old Toddler Had Fled To Central Java After Seeing The Video Viral

After the violence against a 2-year-old toddler carried out by the two couple with the initials HWT (25) and her husband with the initials FMM (28) went viral on Instagram social media, the two perpetrators fled to the Central Java region.

"The two suspects returned to their hometowns because it was viral. So they were scared and returned to their hometowns," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly, Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

Even so, the two perpetrators were then provoked by the police to return to the Ciracas area, East Jakarta. After the two perpetrators arrived at the location, the police immediately secured HWT and FMM.

"The arrest of the suspect, the PPA unit took an approach to the suspect. We were persuasive so that he returned to Ciracas, and we made efforts to force him to make the arrest," he said.

From the results of the examination, the two suspects HWT and FMM admitted that they were caregivers of a toddler with the initials ARF.

"The mother has entrusted the child since birth until now (aged about 2 years). Meanwhile, the biological mother has worked in Surabaya since the baby was born," he said.

The two HWT and FMM suspects also admitted that they were often annoyed with the victim because they often defecated in any place. So that the two suspects became furious and carried out acts of violence against ARF victims.

Previously, it was reported that ARF, a 2-year-old toddler, was a victim of abuse by his foster parents that occurred in a rented house on Jalan GG Taba, RT 05/03, Ciracas Village, East Jakarta.

The baby suffered bruises on his face and all over his body. The reason the two perpetrators abused the victim was because they were annoyed that the toddler's biological parents were often late in paying for child care services worth Rp. 1.5 million per month.
