French President Emmanuel Macron thanked Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto for the celebration of French National Day Bastille Day which was held on Monday.
In his upload on Instagram, President Macron also appreciated the performance of the Indonesian soldiers and cadets appearing to open the troop defile in the celebration.
"Thank you for your presence at the celebration of our national day, Prabowo's best friend. I am very proud to see the Indonesian army line up with our troops," he wrote as quoted on July 15.
In the same upload, President Macron wrote that he still has memories of visiting the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java last May, as well as a meeting with TNI soldiers who are studying French.

Meanwhile, President Prabowo in a separate post wished "Happy National Day" to France, thanking President Macron for the friendship.
"Thank you Mr. President for the invitation to your honor and the friendship that unites our two countries," wrote President Prabowo.
