Hundreds Of Kilograms Of Narcotics Various Types Destroyed Using Central Jakarta RSPAD Incinerators

Five drug suspects arrested by members of Sub-Directorate IV Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri finally became witnesses to the destruction of his narcotics evidence at the burning machine of the Central Jakarta RSPAD Incinerator, Wednesday (02/07/2025).

A total of 156,904 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 763 ecstasy pills and 515 Happy Water sachets were destroyed by the joint apparatus inside the incinerator machine.

"We have destroyed it with legal force, everything has been tested by the laboratory that the goods (narcotics) are positive, those present witnessed from the Prosecutor's Office and the provos," said Kanit 1 Sub-Directorate IV of the Narcotics Directorate of Bareskrim Polri Bareskrim Police Headquarters, AKBP Agung Prabowo.

It was later discovered that the various types of narcotics belonged to five suspects with the initials R, N, MAP, HEW, and SRN. The five suspects were arrested in several different locations.

AKBP Agung said the first arrest was made on suspects with the initials R and N. Both were arrested in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. From the hands of the two confiscated 52,796 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

The second arrest was arrested on the suspect with the initials MAP at the Sarinah food stall in West Jabung Regency, Jambi. MAP was found carrying evidence of 78,119 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

The third arrest was made of the arrest of the suspect with the initials HEW in the motorcycle parking lot of the Parma Pausa Hotel, Pekanbaru, Riau. Confiscated 1,039 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 497 Happy Water sachets containing methampetamine and MDMA.

"The suspect HEW was ordered by a drug dealer (Bos B). After finishing being paid. B is suspected of being a prisoner who gives him a sentence in prison," he said.

Then the last suspect had the initials SRN. Suspect SRN was arrested in a rented house in the Sidoarjo Regency area, East Java with 24,950 grams of drugs, 763 ecstasy and 18 Happy Water sachets.

"The SRN suspect departed from Pekanbaru using the plane to retrieve the goods. Then SRN headed to Surabaya using a public bus by land while carrying 24,950 grams of crystal methamphetamine," he said.

Suspect SRN is an elderly person who is 60 years old. Later the narcotics will be aimed at the end in Madura. However, it has not been circulated yet, the suspect SRN has been arrested by the police first.

The five suspects are recidivist of similar narcotics-related cases.

"Some of the suspects have previously been arrested, they are mostly narcotics couriers," he said.

For his actions, the five suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) Juncto Article 132 paragraph (2) UURI Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics by distributing class 1 narcotics. The suspect also received a subsidiary of Article 112 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (2) UURI Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

For his actions, the five suspects face the death penalty or life imprisonment or 20 years.
