3 Suspects Of Beating TNI Members At Arjosari Mlaang Terminal Were Entrusted To The East Java Regional Police

Malang City Resort Police (Polresta) stated that three suspects in the beating of a member of the Indonesian Navy (AL) at Arjosari Terminal, Malang City, had been detained at the East Java Regional Police.

"Yes (detention) we entrust it to the East Java Regional Police. Later, maybe go directly to the prison (Malang)," said Head of the Public Relations Section of the Malang City Police, Ipda Yudi Risdiyanto, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 1.

The suspects in the alleged beating of a Navy soldier, namely AM, MN, and DS.

Yudi explained that the placement of the three suspects' detention locations at the East Java Regional Police was due to security reasons.

"That's just for security," he said.

Even though he was detained at the East Java Regional Police, the investigation into the alleged beating case was still being handled by the Malang City Police.

Currently the Malang City Police are developing an investigation, after previously asking for statements from several witnesses.

"We have asked for information from three people (witnesses)," he said.

However, he was not yet willing to reveal the chronology of the alleged beating.

"What is clear is that the three suspects who have now been detained are not from outside the city, but from Malang City. Yes, they are residents of Malang City," said Yudi.

Meanwhile, Head of Terminal Type A Arjosari Mega Officer Donowati stated that the alleged beatings carried out by AM, MN, and DS against the victim occurred on Thursday (26/6).

"The incident occurred on Thursday night, at around 19.30 WIB. The cause is still unknown," Mega said.

As a result of the beating, the victim suffered injuries to the face, head, and eyes.

The victim was immediately taken to the Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital (RSSA) in Malang City for intensive treatment.
