KPK Searches The Flow Of Bribery Money For Road Projects In North Sumatra, No Except To Bobby Nasution

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will investigate the flow of bribes for road construction projects at the PUPR Service and PJN Satker Region 1 North Sumatra. Anyone who enjoys the money will be held accountable, including North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution.

"That the following money is currently being carried out," Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Saturday, June 28.

Asep said that the effort to follow the money or follow where the flow of money went because the KPK was aware of a shift in money. In fact, the money found in the arrest operation (OTT) was only Rp231 million from the initial Rp2 billion.

The money is allegedly provided by Akhirun Efendi Siregar who is the President Director of PT DNG and Rayhan Dulasmi PIlang as Director of PT RN to get the project.

"Earlier, from the Rp2 billion we know at first, the Rp2 billion money was then distributed. Well, some were given in cash, some were transferred, and some were still remaining Rp231 million," he said.

"That we are following the rest," continued Asep.

To carry out this search, Asep said that his party would cooperate with relevant stakeholders. One of them is the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).

"If later to anyone, to their superiors or maybe to fellow service heads or to the governor, wherever it is and we do believe, we have also said that we are working with PPATK to see where the money is moving," he explained.

Previously reported, the KPK officially named five suspects from a hand arrest operation (OTT) in the North Sumatra region on Thursday, June 26. They are the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (PUPR) Topan Obaja Putra Ginting or Typhoon Ginting; Effendi Siregar's Rasul as the Head of the Old Gunung UPTD of the North Sumatra Province PUPR Service concurrently the Commitment Making Officer (PPK); Heiyanto as PPK PJN Satker Region I North Sumatra Province; M. End of Efendi Siregar as the President Director of PT DNG; and M. Rayhan Dulasmi Pilang as Director of PT RN.

It is suspected that there was a direct appointment related to the road construction project at the PUPR Service and projects at the North Sumatra PJN Satker Region 1. This process is said to be accompanied by the provision of bribes.

Topan Ginting only served as Head of PUPR on February 24. He was inaugurated by the Governor of North Sumatra who is also the son-in-law of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Bobby Nasution.

Prior to sitting in that position, Topan had served as Head of the Public Works Agency or the Department of Water Resources, Highways and Construction Development of Medan City and had served as Acting Secretary (Plt) of Medan City. He occupied that position when Bobby sat as Mayor of Medan.
