Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed Iran supports the Middle East region free of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction, provided Israel also does not have it.
"Iran is ready to work together to improve security and strengthen stability and peace in the region," Pesseshkian said in a telephone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi.
"We agreed to create an area free from nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction, of course, on the condition that the region also includes Israel, as the country's recent actions did not provide room for any trust in it," the Iranian President continued.

US President Donald Trump announced on Monday evening Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire which, after 24 hours, would be the official end of the "12-day war."
On Tuesday (24/6), Trump said the ceasefire between Iran and Israel was in effect and urged both sides not to violate it.
