JAKARTA - An unidentified drone targeted military radar at the Taji military base, Iraq, north of Baghdad. There were no casualties as a result of the attack on Tuesday.
Reported by Reuters, in 2020, US-led international coalition forces withdrew from the base and handed it over to Iraqi security forces. The base has historically accommodated up to 2,000 coalition members.
The base, 20 km (12 miles) north of Baghdad, has been the site of rocket attacks frequented by Iranian-backed militias targeting US-led troops months before troop withdrawal.
