Police Arrest Perpetrator Of Beating Brother Bahar Smith

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya arrested the perpetrators of abuse and sexual abuse experienced by Bahar bin Smith's younger brother in the Pamulang area, South Tangerang.

"Polda Metro Jaya managed to secure two perpetrators with the initials YLK and EKK," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 17.

The arrests were made by a joint team from the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the South Tangerang Police and the Sub-Directorate of Mobile Investigation (Sub-Directorate of Resmob) of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya.

Both were arrested in two different locations. YLK was sent on Monday (16/6) at 19.00 WIB on Jalan Panti Asuhan, Cipinang Cimpedak, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

"Meanwhile, the suspect with the initials EKK was arrested on the same day at 03.00 WIB on Jalan Arjuna, Benda Baru, Pamulang District, South Tangerang City," he said.

The incident began when the reporter with the initials Z, Bahar bin Smith's younger brother, heard screams.

"Then the reporter immediately went to the source of the sound and saw that the victim's younger brother, namely Sister S, was being molested by the reported party and her mouth was covered with the hands of the reported party," he said.

Knowing this, when the complainant had arrived at the source of the sound, there was a fight between the complainant and the reported party.

"As a result of the fight, the complainant suffered a wound to his right hand and suffered a laceration," he said.

Ade Ary said that this case is still being developed and will be thoroughly processed.
