The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is examining five witnesses regarding the alleged extortion of foreign workers' permits (TKA) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker). One of them, Muller Silalahi, who is a staff of Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.
Meanwhile, Cak Imin had held a position as Minister of Manpower and Transmigration (Menakertrans) for the 2009-2014 period when President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono took office.
"Muller Silalahi is the Expert Staff of the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration in 2008-2010," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Monday, June 16.

Apart from Muller, investigators also examined four other witnesses, namely Eden Nurjaman who is an entrepreneur; Jagamastra as a retired civil servant of the Ministry of Manpower; So Erikson Pandapotan Sinambela who is a Functional at the Directorate of Labor Norm Examination of the Directorate General of Manpower Binwasnaker & K3 of the Ministry of Manpower for the period 2023-2025; and Barkah Adi Santosa as the President Director of PT Dienka Utama.
"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Merah Putih building," he said.
Previously reported, the KPK officially announced eight suspects in the extortion case for the processing of foreign workers' permits (TKA) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) for the 2019-2024 period.
Two of them were Suhartono and Haryanto who had served as Director General of Manpower Placement and Expansion of Job Opportunities (Binapenta and PKK) of the Ministry of Manpower. They are suspected of having participated in the flow of extortion money from foreign workers whose value reached Rp53.7 billion.

This case began when the order to extort the applicant was conveyed by Suhartono and Haryanto as former Director General of Binapenta and PKK of the Ministry of Manpower as well as two former Directors of PPTKA of the Ministry of Manpower Wisnu Pramono and Devi Angraeni. This request was later executed by Putri Citra Wahyoe, Jamal Shodiqin, and Alfa Eshad as verifiers.
