JAKARTA - Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced a number of new top Iranian military officials following an Israeli attack that killed a number of senior generals.

As for his successor Maj. Gen. Mousavi, Khamenei asked him to push for increased defense and security capabilities and readiness of the Iranian Armed Forces, as well as to mobilize the people to enable timely and effective responses to any kind of threat to Iran with revolutionary actions.

Ayatollah Khamenei also paid high respect to the late Major General Salami. As for his successor, Major General Pakpour, Ayatollah Khamenei asked him to encourage continuous improvement in the readiness and capabilities of the IRGC in all fields.
