PANGKALPINANG Increased access to health services is one of the main priorities for the Deputy Mayor of Pangkalpinang, Noor Ishmatuddin. In his vision and work program, Noor is committed to providing 24-hour Puskesmas services in each sub-district and alerting a fast response ambulance fleet to meet the community's emergency needs.

This step was taken as part of efforts to strengthen the primary health system at the city level, as well as to answer the issue of limited health services that residents still feel, especially at night or in emergency situations that require immediate treatment.

"Every citizen has the right to health services whenever they need it, day or night. We want to build a responsive system that is really present when people need it," Noor said in his statement.

As a solution, Noor designed a rotation system for medical personnel and increased incentives for Puskesmas officers so that 24-hour operations can run sustainably.

In addition, he will also alert an ambulance fleet of Alerts at strategic points. This service is designed to be integrated with Puskesmas posts and referral hospitals, to ensure a quick response in an emergency.

This program is also strengthened by the plan to develop an emergency reporting digital system as well as basic training on emergency handling for health cadres and village officials.
