Message From The Chief Justice Of The Supreme Court To The Judge: Please Go To Karaoke-Diskotek If You Want A Position Not Long

JAKARTA - Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (MA) Sunarto asked judges to avoid night entertainment. If found violating, then the position of judge is at stake.

Sunarto made this statement while providing guidance to 1,451 judges who had just been confirmed by the Supreme Court.

"If you are free to go to karaoke, go to the discotheque, please. But the age of your position, God willing, will not be long," said Sunarto in his direction, Friday, June 13.

According to him, by becoming a judge, a person is no longer free. There are rules that must be obeyed, especially maintaining integrity in and outside the courtroom.

"Since yesterday, you have not been a free person as freely as you are not free, why? Your own choice," he said.

This was conveyed, said Sunato, not as a prayer, but a reflection of the experience that had happened. Reminded that young judges can avoid it.

"This is not praying, many events like this please be maintained," he said.

Not only that, Sunarto also reminded the judges not to play with decisions only for the sake of money and personal interests. Because, judges are representatives of God for people who seek justice.

"Sudara is the representative of God, especially the decision, don't let it change, believe it is true, you hold a hammer for justice based on God Almighty in the name of God, don't replace it for justice based on the Almighty's finances," said Sunarto.
