Dozens Of Thugs And Debt Collectors In Palmerah Arrested By Joint Officials

Joint officers arrested 20 suspected illegal parking attendants and debt collectors in Palmerah, West Jakarta, Thursday.

The Palmerah Police Chief, Kompol Eko Adi Setiawan, said that as many as 25 joint personnel from elements of the TNI, Polri and Satpol PP were deployed to a number of vulnerable points in Palmerah.

"We have arrested as many as 20 people, consisting of four debt collectors, two buskers and 14 illegal parking attendants or Mr. Ogah. Then there are two flags of mass organizations that are also brought under control," said Eko, in, Thursday.

Eko continued, this activity is part of a routine program to keep the security and social security situation in the area safe and conducive.

"We are doing this activity as a form of response to public unrest and is a direct attention from our leader, West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi," he said.

Furthermore, said Eko, the 20 people will be recorded and trained first.

"(Prime elements). Later we will deepen further. Of course, if, for example, it is related to illegal parking or maybe sir, it is impossible if there is coercion, then also a 'debt collector' when pulling the vehicle there is violence, there must be a criminal element there," added Eko.
