JAKARTA - Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Arif Havas Oegroseno expressed President Prabowo Subianto's support while attending the "Blue Economy and Finance Forum" (BEFF) high-level meeting which took place at Monaco on Sunday.
Held in parallel with the 3rd UN Ocean Conference (UNOC) in Nice, France, BEFF is an initiative of Prince Albert II to take advantage of UNOC's momentum to encourage dialogue and global collaboration in the blue economy.
In a series of BEFF forums, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia also attended the Plenary Session 4 entitled "Ensuring Sustainable Ocean Governance and Finance". In the first panel, themed "Looking Forward: Global Solutions for Ocean Finance", there were a number of important figures such as the Executive Director of the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP), Inger Andersen and Vice President of European Investment Bank (EIB), Ambroise Fayolle.

The participation of the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Monaco BEFF was the first activity attended by the Indonesian delegation, together with support from the Indonesian Embassy in Paris and the Indonesian Consulate General in Marseilles, in the 3rd UN Sea Conference (UNOC 2025), which marked Indonesia's commitment to global maritime diplomacy and strengthening international collaboration for the protection and sustainable use of marine resources.
At the closing session of the forum, a number of world leaders also gave closing statements, including Prince William (Prince of Wales), Brazilian President Luiz Inighcio Lula da Silva, Costa Rica President Rodrigo Chaves Robles, French President Emmanuel Macron and Prince Albert II Monaco as hosts.
On the sidelines of the forum, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs also held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Monaco Cooperation Isabelle Berro-Amademen.
