Cianjur Police Prepare Traffic Engineering To Face Eid Holidays

JAKARTA - Ahead of the long holiday of Eid al-Adha 2025, traffic flow in the Cianjur area, West Java, was observed to be still relatively smooth.

However, the Cianjur Resort Police have prepared a number of anticipatory measures, including traffic engineering schemes and one-way systems in densely prone routes such as the Puncak area.

Kasatlantas Cianjur Police, AKP Hardian Andrianto, stated that his party continues to deploy dozens of personnel in the field, including a special team to solve congestion, in order to maintain the smooth flow of vehicles along the Cianjur 'Puncak vital route.

"Although currently the flow of vehicles is normal, especially on the main route of Cianjur and the Puncak area as well as Jalan Raya Bandung-Cianjur, we remain on full alert during the Eid al-Adha holiday," he said in Cianjur, Sunday, June 8, as quoted by ANTARA.

He said the increase in the volume of vehicles was seen on the D-1 Eid al-Adha, but it has not caused significant congestion, even at densely prone points such as Puncak-Cipanas, downtown Cianjur, and southern lanes.

However, the police still urge road users to always follow traffic regulations and directions from officers in the field, in order to prevent congestion or accidents.

"Appropriation of the driver is very important to ensure traffic flow remains under control, especially for travelers who start returning to their respective destination cities," he added.

Furthermore, AKP Hardian said the one-way system would be implemented situationally, especially at night when there was a surge in vehicles from Cianjur to Bogor. This system will be implemented after coordinating with the Bogor Police.

It is estimated that the backflow spike will occur on Sunday night (the end of the holiday period), with dense points ranging from the Puncak Pass area to the Ciawi Toll Gate. Therefore, the police will carry out flow engineering to anticipate the accumulation of vehicles.

"If queues have begun to appear in the Puncak-Cianjur area, one-way engineering to Bogor will be implemented immediately so that the flow returns," he concluded.
