JAKARTA - The government has officially removed the provision of pocket money for full day meeting activities outside the office for state civil servants (ASN) ministries and institutions starting in 2026.
This policy is contained in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 32 of 2025 concerning Standard Input Fee (SBM) for Fiscal Year 2026 which was issued as part of efforts to efficiency in state spending, especially in goods expenditure posts.
"In 2025 the cost of the meeting, especially the pocket money, we have deleted it for half a day. And even in 2026, even though we have deleted our pocket money. So the only pocket money of Rp. 130,000 per day is for meetings that have to stay or are full-board," said Ministry of Finance's Director General of Budget Lisbon Sirait in his statement, Monday, June 2.
He explained that the standard input fee (SBM) policy for 2026 emphasized that pocket money would only be given for meeting activities that stay or enter the fullboard category.
The daily money that is still valid is only for meeting activities outside the office which lasts more than one day and involves accommodation.
"So the provision of pocket money or daily money is only for full-board activities, which stay overnight. This is in line with the efficiency carried out by the government on goods expenditures. If these meetings are included in the category of goods expenditure," he explained, quoted from ANTARA.
For the record, the cost of full-board meeting pocket bills held outside the office is set at IDR 130.000 per person per day.
Meanwhile, for half-day and full-day meetings that are not staying overnight, pocket money has no longer been given since the 2025 and 2026 SBM policies.
