BNN Urine Test Results: West Medan Sub-district Head And 2 Lurah Consumption Of Drugs

The North Sumatra Provincial National Narcotics Agency together with the Medan City Government revealed the results of a urine test by the local city government and found a number of officials indicated positive.

The head of the North Sumatra BNN, Toga Panjaitan, said that the results of the urine test by Medan City Government officials had been investigated and assessed for two weeks.

"Based on the results of the deepening and assessment conducted by the North Sumatra Provincial BNN for two weeks. There are four individuals indicated," said Toga Panjaitan as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 2.

Four officials indicated, namely the West Medan sub-district head, the Medan Johor sub-district head, the Gaharu village head, and the Hulu Petisah village head.

Toga Panjaitan explained that the Medan Johor sub-district head was a psychotropic user of class 4 the type ofbenzodiazepine and a drug used by alprazolam which had been proven by a doctor's prescription.

"This is if we classify it as a medium category and it must be handled more intensively. This is not positive for narcotics, but psychotropic," he said.

Meanwhile, the West Medan sub-district head in the conclusion found no signs of recovery from narcotics addiction.

He said the sub-district head had used ecstasy and used sedatives.

"We will look into it again because he has been rehabilitated. Whether further rehabilitation is needed, we will investigate it again," he said.

Untuk Lurah Gaharu, dia mengatakan berdasarkan hasil keputusan menunjukkan yang bersangkutan mengalami kedependungan narkotika class 1 jenis methamphetamine atau sabu.

"He is in the medium class and should be rehabilitating," he said.

"This can also be rehabilitation, but it is in the mild category because it has only used marijuana once given by a friend. We will explore it again," he explained.

Toga Panjaitan said the four local government officials would be investigated again.

He said the four local government officials were victims of abuse.

"The four regional ranks are victims of abuse, except that they are a network of dealers and dealers so that a judicial legal process must be carried out. However, if only using, in accordance with Law Number 35 of 2009 Article 5, it must be rehabilitated. Likewise, there must be family approval," he said.

Therefore, he emphasized that he would coordinate with the Mayor of Medan to further deepen the four officials.

"We have asked the mayor's permission, if the four of them are allowed, we will investigate it. Then, we also ask for the approval of the family whether they want to be hospitalized or what. It depends on the results of our investigation," he said.

Medan Mayor Rico Tri Putra Waas supports and encourages the North Sumatran BNN to deepen the four ranks.

"Of course, this deepening is an addition to our examination at the Inspectorate so that later we can determine whether the sentence will be very heavy," said Rico Waas.
