Menbud Fadli Zon Affirms Pancasila Remains A Guide To Digital Space

JAKARTA - Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Fadli Zon, emphasized that Pancasila values must be present in every aspect of the life of the Indonesian people, including in the digital space. This is an important point that he conveys the principle of leading the 2025 Pancasila Birthday ceremony at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Jakarta, Sunday, June 1.

"The advancement of technology without the moral guidance of Pancasila can plunge the nation into dehumanization," said Fadli Zon in a written statement.

He called Pancasila not just historical text, but the spirit of the nation and the moral compass towards the future. Commemoration of the Birthday of Pancasila, said Fadli, is not a routine ceremony, but a momentum to strengthen the nation's ideological commitment.

"Pancasila is a big house for 280 million people. Diversity is not an excuse to be divided, but a power to unite," he said.

According to him, in Asta Cita's big agenda towards Indonesia Gold 2045, strengthening the Pancasila ideology is the main pillar. Without an ideological direction, development will be fragile. The economy can be unequal. Technology without value can erode humanity.

Fadli explained the importance of implementing Pancasila in four strategic fields. In education, Pancasila must be instilled from an early age, not only in formal lessons, but in everyday life. Schools and campuses must produce a generation of intelligence, character, and integrity.

In the bureaucracy, the value of Pancasila must be reflected in fair service and in favor of the people. Every policy must contain the spirit of humanity and social justice, not the interests of the group.

In the economic sector, development must be evenly distributed. MSMEs, cooperatives, and the people's economy must be empowered so that no residents are left behind. "Social justice must be the main direction," said Fadli.

In the digital space, Pancasila is also important. The virtual world is not a free space. Digital literacy, ethics, and mutual cooperation must be maintained. "Let's fight hoaxes, hate speech, and provocations with the spirit of Pancasila Digital," he exclaimed.

Fadli invites all elements of the nation's officials, religious leaders, youth, and society to actively ground Pancasila. Make every policy and speech a mirror of Pancasila's spirit, not just a symbol on the wall.

The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister of Industry Giring Ganesha, Deputy Minister of Education Stela Christie, echelon officials, and hundreds of participants.
