Disbandment Of The Authority Ormas Of The Ministry Of Home Affairs, Polda Metro Handling Criminal Acts

Polda Metro Jaya said the disbandment of community organizations (ormas) was under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) not the police.

This was conveyed by the Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Wira Satya Triputra regarding the actions of mass organizations that repeatedly committed violations.

"Because the mass organization is a legal entity, so we cannot do (disband), we can only take action against the legal process if we commit a violation," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 27.

Wira explained that the problems related to the mass organization itself will be evaluated by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The police only provide data related to violations of mass organizations.

"We will later supply data on what forms of violations have been committed and those who will evaluate mass organizations and may even be able to impose sanctions later are from the Ministry of Home Affairs," he said.

Then regarding the members of a number of mass organizations who were arrested during Operation Eradication of Jaya 2025 as one of the recommendations to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Wira explained that the relevant parties would discuss it again.

"We have to accumulate first and it will have to be discussed specifically later, yes, it can't be partially but we have to formulate it strategically later," he said.
