Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov believes Europe is participating indirectly in the fight against Russia, as it continues to supply weapons to Ukraine.
"We see Europe indirectly taking part: arms shipments continue. This is indirect participation in the fight against Russia. We are all witnessing ongoing discussions about the possible emergence of 'European contingents'," a Kremlin spokesman said.
A day earlier, the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced a number of F-16 fighter jets had been delivered to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced there will be no more restrictions on the number of weapons supplied to Kyiv by Berlin and its allies.
Peskov, who was asked if this creates additional risks to negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, said it did not contribute.
"Of course, European behavior does not contribute at all to the settlement of peace," Peskov said.

As previously reported, the German Chancellor said his country had lifted all restrictions on the reach of the Ukrainian attack on Russian territory with German weapons. According to him, similar decisions have been made by Britain and France.
"There are no longer arms range restrictions supplied to Ukraine not from the UK, not from France, not from us. And neither from America (Britches)," he said in a discussion at a forum hosted by broadcaster WDR.
"That means now Ukraine can defend itself by, say, attacking military targets in Russia," Chancellor Merz stressed.
