YOGYAKARTA The government again provides electricity tariff incentives in the form of discounts of 50%. Related to this, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto explained that the 50 percent electricity tariff discount will take effect as of June 5, 2025. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto explained that the latest electricity tariff discount in the June-July period is intended for customers with a power below 1,300 VA.

"That's like before (50% electricity tariff discount), but we lower it below 1,300 VA, yesterday it was up to 2,200 VA," explained Airlangga after leading the coordination meeting on the provision of economic incentive packages at his office, Jakarta, quoted Tuesday (27/5/2025).

The government has not officially announced the granting of electricity tariff cuts. However, the scheme implemented is most likely the same as the previously given electricity tariff discount scheme.

In the latest period, electricity tariff discounts are given automatically when customers make electricity bill payments or when purchasing tokens.

For example, postpaid subscribers will receive a electricity bill in June. June's bill will automatically be cut by 50 percent. Likewise, July bills are paid in August.

Meanwhile, prepaid customers will receive a 50 percent electricity discount when buying tokens during the June to July 2025 months.
