TARAKAN Representing the Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Acting (Pj) Provincial Secretary (Sekprov) of Kaltara, Bustan led the National Preparedness Apple which was held in the courtyard of the Tarakan Art and Convention Center Building on Thursday (22/5/2025).

The implementation of the apple is in order to welcome the 106th Anniversary of the Fire Department (Damkar) and Rescue, the 75th Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), and the 63rd Community Protection Unit (Satlinmas) throughout Kaltara.

Bustan was present to represent the Governor, expressing appreciation and appreciation to all members of the Fire and Rescue, Satpol PP, and Satlinmas in Kaltara who have shown extraordinary dedication, loyalty and dedication in serving the community.

"The more the spirit of service, competence and professionalism increases to support the implementation of noble tasks in the field," said Bustan.

Bustan expressed his gratitude for the support of the Tarakan City Government as the host of the national preparedness rally, which is expected to be a momentum to continue to maintain the existence and quality of services from the Firefighters, Satpol PP and Satlinmas to the people of Kaltara.

He emphasized that fire prevention efforts are not only a matter of technical extinguishing, but an important part of the sustainability of regional development. Every fire that occurs, no matter how small it can result in large losses that can hinder infrastructure, economy and even social society.

Likewise with Satpol PP and Satlinmas, according to him, these two units have a big responsibility in creating public order, peace, and protection for the community from various potential disturbances.

"Their role is not only limited to enforcing regional regulations, but also includes direct services to the community in community activities," he said.

Bustan invites all regional heads to pay full attention to the welfare and protection of the firefighters, Satpol PP and Satlinmas who every day risk their lives for the sake of the community.

"Let us improve our dedication, professionalism, integrity and collaboration at all levels of government, in order to realize Advanced, Prosperous, and Sustainable North Kalimantan.
