Three Rampok Under The Guise Of Debt Collector Viral Aniaya Driver Finally Arrested

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kalideres Police managed to arrest three debt collectors who were caught on CCTV cameras carrying out a motorbike robbery in the Kalideres area, West Jakarta.

The perpetrators were arrested in the Lotte Mart area, Pegadungan, Kalideres, West Jakarta, Friday, May 23, afternoon.

Kapolsek Kalideres Polres Metro Jakarta Barat, Kompol Arnold Julius Simanjuntak melalui Kanit Reskrim AKP Kevin Adrian menjelaskan, setelah menerima laporan dan melihat video yang beredar, pihaknya langsung bergerak cepat mencari pelaku.

"Alhamdulillah, we have secured as many as three people suspected of being debt collectors who made efforts to withdraw motorbikes," said AKP Kevin when confirmed, Friday, May 23, 2025.

After being interrogated by the police, the three debt collectors finally admitted their actions. However, the perpetrators argued that the motorbike the victim was driving belonged to a debtor who was in arrears.

They then tried to stop the vehicle. However, the driver refused and there was a commotion before the victim finally fled.

Currently, continued Kanit, his party is still examining the three debt collectors and asking for information from the victim.

"We urge all forms of vehicle withdrawals to be carried out according to legal procedures, not by means of intimidation on the streets," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the attempted robbery under the guise of a debt collector that occurred in the Kalideres area, West Jakarta, was carried out by five motorbikes.

According to the victim's confession with the initials AS, initially he and his son wanted to work in the Kalideres area using a pawned motorbike from a colleague.

Suddenly in the middle of the trip, the motorbike driven by a US child and himself was suddenly grabbed by the perpetrator who claimed to be a debt collector.

"I was chased by a five motorbike, flanked from the side, in front of one, behind two. Under the bridge, I was forcibly stopped," said the US victim in a video statement circulating, Friday, May 23.

After the victim's motorbike was intercepted by the perpetrator, the perpetrator tried to seize the victim's motorbike while taking him to the office. I don't know which office the perpetrator was referring to, but the victim was reluctant to obey the perpetrator's words.

"He was stealing the key, only my son was holding the key. There was a threat, the perpetrator wanted to go out like a badik. It seems they are thugs, there is no identity. They told me to come to the office where he was. He was on guard," he said.
