BOGOR - The Environmental Service (DLH) of Bogor Regency, West Java took action against PT Harapan Mulya, the industry for making carts and trash cans suspected of polluting river water into orange.
Head of Law Enforcement and Waste Management of Bogor Gantara Regency B3DLH Lenggana led the action by attaching a line of Environmental Supervisory Officers (PPLH) to the factory waste channel located in Bojong Engsel Village, Taimolot Village, Citeureup District, Monday.
He explained that the action was an instruction from the Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto, after the Bogor Regency Government received complaints from the public through social media.
"Today we checked with PT Harapan Mulya and CV Karya Erat. We found that PT Harapan Mulya carried out the disposal of B3 waste inappropriately," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 19.
PT Harapan Mulya is known to have painted carts and trash cans using synthetic paint powder. Then, dismantling the waste is not in accordance with the rules.
"We temporarily closed the PT Harapan Mulya waste channel and took sampling for laboratory testing," said Gantara.
If laboratory results show that PT Harapan Mulya has committed a violation, it will be given coercion sanctions for the government, fines, and even environmental criminal sanctions.

"We will summon PT Harapan Mulya to the office to conduct a BAP. If they do not comply with the sanctions given, we will take stricter action," said Gantara.
