JAKARTA - The Malaysian Police stated that as many as 31 roads were closed to welcome the 46th ASEN Summit in Kuala Lumpur as part of traffic engineering (traffic).
Quoting Bernama, Monday, May 19, the Director of the Department of Investigation and Law Enforcement of Bukit Aman Traffic (JSPT) Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said that the 31 roads were subject to traffic engineering in the form of an opening and closing system for lanes including toll roads.
Yusri said the system includes routes to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Subang, Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) State Palace and accommodation hotels.
He said this traffic engineering was in order to ensure the smooth flow of traffic welcoming the 46th ASEAN Summit at the KLC on May 26 and 27, 2025.
Meanwhile, road closures are being implemented in stages from 23-28 May 2025. The road covers 6 highways and 25 main roads, including toll roads in Kuala Lumpur or Klang Valley.
