Polda Metro Jaya Check Roy Suryo On Fake Certificates

JAKARTA - Telematics expert Roy Suryo was examined as a witness in a case of alleged fake diplomas reported by the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Polda Metro Jaya.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said Roy Suryo had fulfilled the summons since this morning.

"The hospital (Roy Suryo) was present," said Ade to reporters, Thursday, May 15.

Roy Suryo is known to have started undergoing a series of examinations as a witness at Polda Metro Jaya at around 10.15 WIB.

Jokowi reported the allegations of the fake diploma to the Polda Metro Jaya. The elements of the criminal acts reported are defamation to ITE which are contained in Articles 310 and 311 of the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, Article 27A, Article 32, and Article 35 of the ITE Law which are also used in the reporting regulates changing, transmitting, or manipulating other people's electronic documents.

Jokowi had explained the reason for reporting false diploma accusations to the police. Just so that the problem becomes clear and clear.

"Yes, this is actually a minor matter, yes, it is a matter of alleged fake diplomas. But it does need to be brought to the realm of law so that everything is clear and clear," said Jokowi.

According to him, the new legal steps were taken as a solution to allegations of fake diplomas because the issue continued to grow and became increasingly massive.

It is known that this issue was heard when Jokowi was still President.

"Yes, I was still in office, I thought it was over. It turned out that it was still protracted, so that it was brought to the legal realm, it would be better so that once again it would become clear and clear," he said.
