KPK Reminds Hadi Poernomo To Report LHKPN As Presidential Special Advisor

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded the Presidential Special Advisor for State Revenue, Hadi Poernomo, to report reports on the assets of state administrators (LHKPN).

"The position of Special Advisor to the President is one of the officials obliged to report LHKPN as one of the instruments for preventing corruption," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo in Jakarta, Thursday, May 15.

In addition, Budi reminded Hadi Poernomo that there is the potential for corruption in the management of state finances.

"The potential for corruption in the management of state finances is not only in the aspect of financing or spending, but also aspects of state revenue," he said.

Therefore, he said that the KPK had made studies related to non-tax state revenues (PNBP) in the mineral and coal sectors, to palm oil.

"Because the KPK sees spaces or potential corruption in the state revenue sector," he explained.

Meanwhile, when asked about Hadi's track record, who was once a suspect in a corruption case, Budi said that the KPK assessed that his appointment as an adviser to the President was appropriate.

"Of course, the appointment in question in this position has gone through a process and selection, and of course it is adjusted to the needs according to his position as a special advisor regarding state revenue," he said.

Previously, Hadi had been a suspect in the alleged corruption case related to the receipt of all taxpayers objections to the Zero Tax Assessment Letter (SKPN) of Income Tax for the PT BCA Agency, Tbk in the 1999 tax year when he was still the Director General of the Directorate General of Taxes 2002-2004.

However, sole judge Haswandi at the South Jakarta District Court on May 26, 2016 won Hadi Poernomo's pretrial lawsuit, and declared the KPK investigation warrant that hady as a suspect in the case invalid.
