JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung launched the JakCare counseling service. This mental health service with online teleconsultation is operated for 24 hours for free.
This service can be used by contacting 0800-1500-119 or through the JAKI application. Pramono assessed that this counseling service was needed because many Jakarta residents had a heavy life burden.
"Right now, there are a lot of burdens on life, life pressure and so on, people are experiencing mental health problems. For that, there will be a counseling program that you do at any time via JAKI or by telephone," Pramono said at the launch of JakCare at Tanah Tinggi Flat, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, May 14.
In JakCare's service, the DKI Provincial Government provides clinical psychologists who receive consultations from the public with 3 people per shift. The JakCare call center is connected to a special mental health hospital.
So if residents file a complaint until there are indications of suicide, the psychologist will immediately divert and contact other regional work units with the assistance needed.
"JAKCare previously handled two people who wanted to commit suicide and were rescued. One was cutting his pulse, the other was taking poison drugs. So this shows that what we initiated was hopefully beneficial for the citizens of Jakarta," said Pramono.
In addition, Pramono also inaugurated the White Forces which proactively serves health to the community, especially for the elderly.
"For public services or the White Forces, it is not only for the elderly but also for children over 18 if they have problems with their health, whether it is a stroke and so on," said Pramono.
Pramono continued, his party also launched the Jak Ambulance program with the addition of medical team units moving quickly. The team consists of health workers providing pre-hospital care services to the evacuation process to health facilities.
Currently, 86 ambulance advance and 17 ambulance motorbikes are available. Governor Pramono said residents who need Jak Ambulance services can contact number 112 or 1119, or through the JAKI application.
"The Jak Ambulance program is here as a form of basic protection for Jakarta residents. We have added a Rapid Movement Medical Team unit consisting of professional health workers. This service is free. If there are parties who try to collect fees, report them immediately," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, assessed that the JakCare to the White Forces program with the right use of technology can help people to live a healthier and longer life.
"Because with technology now, first, people know how to live a healthy life, the language of health is promotive. Second, people do free health checks, that's called preventive. If people do these two things 'promotive and preventive' they know how to live a healthy life and do free health checks, God willing, the age can be the same as the average, which is 74 years," explained Budi.
