DENPASAR - Deputy Governor of Bali I Nyoman Giri Prasta promised to assist in the construction and renovation of mosque buildings in regencies/cities in Bali Province.

This was conveyed by Giri Prasta during the release of 672 prospective Hajj 2025 candidates from Bali, which was also attended by the Bali Ministry of Religion Regional Office and local Muslim figures.

"After returning from the holy land, let's make a program for God's houses, mosques and prayer rooms, we will make sure we help with the renovation and construction," he said, Tuesday, May 13.

Giri said the support from the Bali Provincial Government was to help Muslims on the Island of the Gods so that there was no need to make contributions for the construction of places of worship.

He has also implemented this when he was the Regent of Badung, where the district government succeeded in building Muslim schools and mosques in North Kuta and Petang areas from Giri Prasta.

"The congregation will not issue a thousand rupiahs, it can be asked that Pak Haji Aziz is our figure in Badung now, in Bali Province until we build Muslim schools and mosques, - the community - does not spend funds," he said.

The Deputy Governor of Bali also invited to pray together so that this plan can be implemented thoroughly in districts/cities throughout Bali, thereby easing the burden on Muslims.

In the speech on the release of his regional pilgrims in 2025, Giri Prasta also mentioned that all religious communities in Bali have the right to be treated fairly even though Bali is occupied by the majority of Hindus with the characteristics of their area as Seribu Pura Island.

The Bali Provincial Government puts forward four pillars of nationality, namely Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, UUD 1945, NKRI, and Pancasila, so that application in the field will also be adjusted.

"We exemplify Pancasila, namely the fifth principle of social justice for all Indonesian people, meaning that all human beings can feel the same way, so we don't force them to be the same at all, but we don't differentiate the same thing," said the Deputy Governor of Bali, quoted by ANTARA.

To Muslims who next week leave for the holy land, Giri advised to follow the whole series well, and pray that they return in good health and bring home ideas of thought for the progress of the people.
