1,146 Joint Personnel Joint PUIC Sessions In DPR/MPR

A total of 1,146 joint personnel were deployed to secure the running of The 19th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) which was held at the DPR/MPR RI Building, Monday, May 12.

It is known that the high-level trial was attended by 57 countries, including Indonesia, with the number of participants reaching 500 people.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said security was carried out strictly but still put forward a humanist approach. All security personnel have been instructed not to carry firearms, in order to create a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for the delegates.

"In securing this activity, we prioritize a persuasive and friendly approach. We have directed all personnel not to carry firearms. This is a form of our commitment to keep the atmosphere conducive, safe, and comfortable for all guests from friendly countries," said Susatyo in his statement, Monday, May 12.

It is said that security is carried out not only at the main location of the trial. However, it includes routes of arrival of state guests, lodging areas, and other strategic points in the Senayan area.

"We have mapped all potential vulnerabilities, from traffic, demonstrations, to non-physical disturbances such as cyber. We anticipate everything together with related agencies," he said.

This large-scale security is not only about security, but also reflects Indonesia's face in the eyes of the world. So, the implementation must be carried out optimally,
