Bring Bobon Santoso To Palmerah, BNN: Eat Healthy, Not Consumption Of Drugs

JAKARTA - Head of BNN Komjen Martinus Hukom said that Bobon Santoso's presence was a symbolic internalization of productive values, including health through food consumption, not drug consumption.

"Chef Bobon is symbolic that for humans who are healthy are healthy, productive food with productive activities. So, not with negative activities such as selling drugs," Martinus told reporters, in Palmerah, West Jakarta, May 8.

In addition to inviting hundreds of local residents who attended, Martinus said that Bobon's presence also helped disseminate anti-drug campaigns to the public.

"By bringing Chef Bobon here, we want to convey the narrative about the dangers of this drug widely by using Chef Bobon's social media capacity," said the former Head of the Anti-Terror Special Detesemen (Densus) 88.

Martinus revealed that drug users in the world currently number 296 million or 5.8 percent of the world's population.

"In Indonesia itself, the survey as of 2023 shows that 3.33 million Indonesians use drugs," said Martinus.

He reminded the public to stay away from drugs because drugs are destructive to the joints of the nation's life that must be fought together.

"We know that the drugs are destroyers, mental destroyers, moral destroyers, health destroyers and ultimately destroying social relations. Therefore, we must fight together," he said.
