The Bali Regional Police's Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) has named six suspects in cases of alleged sexual violence against children in Denpasar, Bali.

Deputy Director of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Reskrimum) of the Bali Police AKBP Agus Bahari said that in this case there were seven people suspected of having participated in sexual harassment of three children, but only six were detained because one of them was still a child.

"There were seven people involved, but we have secured as many as six people. One other suspect is still a child whose handling is by the PPA Unit (Women and Children Protection). So, we did not arrest him," he said, Wednesday, May 7.

The six people who have been named as suspects are GDN, KEP, KAP, GAR, STF, JIA and MWD.

They were charged with Article 29 Juncto Article 4 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography with a penalty of 12 years in prison.

Then, Article 14 of Law No.12 concerning criminal acts of electronic-based sexual violence with the threat of a sentence of four years in prison.

As well as Article 80 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 76 c of Law no. 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning child protection in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of three years in prison.

Agus explained that the crime and immorality began on Tuesday (18/3/2025) at around 01.00 WITA in front of a rented house in Gang Mertayoga, Denpasar.

The suspects were suspected of committing violence against AMS (15), KMG (17), and ERM (17) by hitting, kicking, stepping, and shooting the victim with an airsoft gun.

Not only that, the suspects also asked the three victims to take off their clothes so that they were naked, then carried out indecent acts.

The act of sexual violence was then recorded by the KAP and the results were sent to GDNDR. The footage was then sent to a social media group.

The video was also sent by MPRW to a social media group of his classmate until it went viral.

After being investigated, said Agus, the suspects initially arrested the victims after stealing the gas cylinder.

On that basis, the suspects then committed violence.

As a result of the incident, the victims suffered injuries to several parts of the body either from blows or from airsoft guns.

Not only that, the victims were shocked because their videos were widely distributed.

The six suspects have been detained at the Bali Police Rutan for further legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, the MWD perpetrators were implemented by the Juvenile Criminal Justice System (SPPA).
