A candidate for Hajj for the Lombok Embarkation from Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), named Sandri Mursidin, was deported by the Saudi Arabian government because he had immigration records.
Head of the Hajj Division of the Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Ministry of Religion of NTB Lalu Muhammad Amin confirmed that a prospective Hajj from Mataram City was deported by the Government of Saudi Arabia.
"Based on the passport number X4582164, Mursidin was deported because he had immigration records while working in Saudi Arabia in 2019," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 7.
Amin explained that the prospective hajj had fled while working as an Indonesian Migrant Worker (PMI) in Saudi Arabia because it did not match its employer, so the visa concerned was detained by the government there.
"As a result of the violation, his name is still listed on the Saudi Arabian immigration blacklist," he said.
According to him, Mursidin departed with the Flying Group (Kloter) 4 on Sunday (4/5). However, when he arrived in Medina, Mursidin was immediately secured by Saudi Arabian officers.

"This prospective hajj is secured because it has a record. So it is still on the black list, so that when the visa pilgrimage is detected, it is blacklisted," said Amin.
According to him, the blacklisting period in Saudi Arabia is valid for 10 years so that the prospective pilgrims are not allowed to enter Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage before the blacklisting period ends.
Amin said the person concerned had been flown back to Indonesia and had arrived in Lombok on Tuesday (6/5) yesterday.
"Currently, officers from the Mataram City Ministry of Religion are being assisted," he said.
