Admits Debt Collector, A Gang Of Robbers Robbing Motorcycles In Cibinong

JAKARTA A green Honda Scoopy motorcycle rider became a victim of confiscation by a group of perpetrators who claimed to be debt collectors when crossing the Cibinong Flyover, Bogor Regency, West Java.

The victim named Iwan had given resistance, but in the end was helpless when his motorbike was seized by the perpetrators. After the incident, the perpetrator immediately fled with the motorbike.

It did not stop there, the perpetrators were known to have carried out similar actions in the West Jakarta area with the same mode of pretending to be debt collectors who collected installment arrears.

However, their action finally stopped after the Tambora Police managed to identify and arrest the perpetrators. From the results of the investigation, one of the motorbikes they confiscated turned out to be the victim Iwan in Cibinong.

Tambora Police Chief, Kompol Muhammad Kukuh Islami, explained that this case was revealed starting with a victim's report regarding the forced taking of motorized vehicles at the Cibinong Flyover. The motorbike is known to belong to Bayu, but is being borrowed and used by his colleague, Iwan.

When driven by Iwan, suddenly the motorbike was stopped by someone claiming to be a debt collector. The perpetrator argued that the motorbike was in arrears of installments for three months," said Kukuh, Friday, May 2.

In fact, continued Kukuh, the motorbike had been bought in cash and paid off by Bayu. Without legal basis, the perpetrator then forcibly seized the motorbike and fled.

Armed with the victim's report, the Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit conducted an in-depth investigation until finally they managed to find a motorbike that was confiscated and secured the perpetrators.

"The motorbike has been returned to the owner without any fees," concluded Kukuh.
