Head Of PPIH Embarkation Calls No Ceremonial Acceptance Of Hajj Candidates

JAKARTA - The head of the Makassar Embarkation Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH), H Ali Yafid, said that there were no more ceremonial activities for accepting Hajj Candidates (JCH) at the Hajj Sudiang Dormitory, Makassar.

"Once the congregation arrives in the Arafah hall, the administration and other equipment are immediately processed including health checks, division of identity bracelets and living costs," Ali Yafid quoted Antara as saying.

He said there was no longer a ceremony for acceptance and remarks from local government officials (Pemda), because they had been released by local governments in their respective regions.

This is done so that pilgrims after arriving at the Hajj Dormitory can rest enough before being flown to the holy land.

In this regard, Ali Yafid appealed to the Heads of Divisions in the PPIH structure to prepare a draft and work plan according to the SOP for organizing the pilgrimage so that the pilgrims can be served properly.

"All Heads of Division must have a schedule and work plan according to the existing SOP, especially in the recipients and departure of pilgrims, so that our pilgrims are served properly, quickly, precisely and completely," he said.

Not to forget Ali Yafid, who is also the Head of the South Sulawesi Ministry of Religion Regional Office, reminded all PPIH to coordinate and work together in carrying out their respective duties.

"Although there are different institutions, we are one in PPIH. Our job is to provide the best service to the congregation and make the implementation of the pilgrimage successful in 2025," he said.

The Governor of South Sulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman (ASS) is scheduled to officially release the first flying group (Kloter) of the Makassar Embarkation on Thursday (1/5) night at the Arafah Hall of the Hajj Dormitory Sudiang Makassar.
