Ministry Of Religion Ensures All Hajj Dormitorys In Indonesia Are Ready To Be Used For Hajj 2025

JAKARTA - Director General (Dirjen) of Hajj and Umrah (PHU) of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Hilman Latief said that all Hajj dormitories in the country are ready to be used by pilgrims at Hajj 2025.

"Hajj Dormitory throughout Indonesia is ready to be used and health inspections have been carried out," Hilman said at a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VIII DPR RI in Jakarta, Thursday, April 17, which was confiscated by Antara.

Furthermore, he conveyed that the readiness to use the Hajj dormitory also includes catering services and special facilities and infrastructure for elderly pilgrims (elderly) and people with disabilities.

Then, he continued, there are also supporting facilities for one-stop services. In addition, Hilman said that his party had also implemented digitization in order to improve the quality of services for pilgrims while in Hajj dormitories.

"For improving service quality, we are also starting to implement digitization of Hajj dorm services using the accommodation service unit management application in Hajj dormitories," he said.

It is known that the Ministry of Religion has reported that as many as 208,514 prospective Hajj participants have paid the Hajj Travel Fee (Bipih) a day before the closing of the second phase of payment.

"Today, there are 1,139 people who pay for regular Hajj costs. So, a total of 208,514 regular Hajj participants have paid the Hajj fees," said Director of Domestic Hajj Services at the Ministry of Religion Muhammad Zain.

This year, Indonesia received 221,000 quotas for Hajj pilgrims consisting of 203,320 regular hajjes and 17,680 special hajjes. For the regular hajj quota, it is divided into 190,897 regular hajj participants who are entitled to be paid off according to the portion order.

Then 10,166 elderly priority regular Hajj participants, 685 worship guides at the Hajj and Umrah Guidance Group (KBIHU), and 1,572 regional Hajj officers (PHD).

Those who paid off consisted of 180,390 participants who were entitled to be paid off this year, both at the first phase and second stage. In addition, there were 25,967 people who were initially included in the reserve, 1,512 regional hajj officers or (PHD), and 645 guides of the Hajj and Umrah Worship Guidance Group (KBIHU).
